Signals that a reading may be tampered
- Service and inspection records: mileage should rise consistently over time.
- Wear parts: pedal rubbers, seat bolsters, steering wheel and gear knob age faster than a low reading suggests.
- Digital odometer: a "too clean" cluster against a worn interior is a flag.
- Underbody and tyres: tyre brand-match and tread against claimed mileage.
How we handle it
We verify mileage consistency as part of the pre-listing inspection and report it in the condition summary, and we disclose the reading on every listing. Because a genuine low-mileage Toyota commands a real premium, verification is what protects the price you pay.
